Safety comes first here! Here we are doing our “Time Out” before the operation beginsAs a faith based institution, everyone is dedicated to the mission. We respectfully pray for the patient, their family and the staff who are very mindful of the work they do. This is the NICU. Modern equipment is limited. Their babies get excellent care and their outcomes for the surgical babies match ours. The wooden box with the bili lights holds three babies who are in need of this limited technology. I encourage you to investigate opportunities to donate or volunteer at Tenwek Hospital. I hope to return next year for two weeks.
