Nana: Winter to Springtime

Now that Christopher is on paternity leave, I get lots of time to play and care for Leila Fern.
Back in Chicago in early February, I got to see Josh and his team win the ice hockey tournament ! He loves his new sport and is quite good at it.
This evening brought back wonderful memories of the Athenian Room. Owen enjoyed dipping his hand in the tzatziki sauce and Declan tried almost everything.
We were back in the hockey rink to watch Josh play. The entire family showed up to cheer him on!
Before leaving again for Colorado, I got to watch these goofballs laugh and play. They really are so much fun.
Leila’s first trip to Avery Brewing in Boulder. The weather was so nice, we could sit outside with Leila and the dogs.
After a rocky start, we found ourselves at an idyllic home on a river outside of Breckenridge. Christopher and his family had to return home because there was no heat in the house we had obtained for them. We will try another time to get the two families together.
Owen and Declan had fun being pulled around the property on sleds and making snow angels in the snow.
Back at home in Superior, Colorado, Leila is showing off the sweater Nana knit for her.
Leila enjoys getting bundled up and going for a walk with Nana.
Weekends are all about making a swimmer out of Leila.
Owen is beginning to enjoy his swimming lessons. Declan is ready for scuba diving with his new goggles.
I got back to Chicago in time to celebrate Andy’s birthday and watch both of the boys swim. I will be going back to Colorado to help with Leila for a few weeks.
