Gratitude and New Beginnings

I am so grateful to my former fellows who supported my nomination for the Arnold Salzberg Mentorship Award. We got together to celebrate after the presentation .
Got to Superior, Colorado in time to go on a walk with Natalie and the dogs and visit a local yarn store.
Next thing I know, Christopher and Natalie are the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl.
Two weeks later, she is ruling the house and showing everyone who is boss !
Back in Chicago, I enjoyed the safety of our parks and streets! As an occupied city, we are doing our best.
Trying to avoid areas of ICE raids, I was able to catch a few of Josh’s ice hockey games. He is having so much fun.
What I consider a perfect day was a visit to the Art Institute for a spectacular exhibit followed by a lecture and concert at the Chicago Symphony Center. I enjoyed a nice walk home along our city streets. I was very SAFE!!
Andy, Molly, Declan and Owen enjoyed a little bit of Halloween. The holiday spirit was dampened by tear gas being hurled outside their playgroup house three blocks from where they live in the week leading up to Halloween.
Leila Fern and her family enjoyed Halloween in costume and at home ! I will be catching up with family and friends in Chicago before I head back to Colorado to continue to enjoy my Nana ERA.
